We are comprised primarily of members of the Centennial United Methodist Church in Roseville, Minnesota. The driving force behind the idea of forming this band was essentially one man’s passion for Dixieland Jazz music.
Our founder, Warren Wildes, fell in love with Dixieland Jazz in college. Many years later he decided to form a band after he saw the talented musicians in the church Brass Ensemble. He reached out to other church members he knew to complete the band (percussion, banjo, trombone, piano, tuba). They agreed to sign on to the Dixieland idea and with the addition of our Red Hot Torch Singer, Ms. Maisie, and a few talented players from outside of the church, the Stompers were born in 2014.
